PIBT and University of Greenwich Commemorate 20 Years of Strategic Partnership at Graduation 2025
COLOMBO – Coinciding with the recent graduation festivities, the Pioneer Institute of Business and Technology (PIBT) hosted a special media briefing on November 18th at the Cinnamon Grand Colombo to commemorate its 20-year journey in higher education. The event highlighted the institute’s two-decade strategic alliance with the University of Greenwich, UK.
The press conference was attended by prominent figures from both institutions, including PIBT Group Chairman Dr. Kapila Ranasinghe, Campus Director Sampath Jayasundara, and Assistant General Manager T. Mathanraj. They were joined by UK delegates Prof. Justin Brunskell, Head of Law Academics, and Prof. Noel-Ann Bradshaw, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Science.
During the briefing, officials reflected on the partnership’s role in shaping Sri Lanka’s education landscape by providing accessible global pathways. To mark this significant anniversary, PIBT leadership announced the launch of a Special Bursary Scholarship Scheme. This new initiative is designed to offer substantial tuition support for selected programmes, ensuring that the next generation of Sri Lankan students can access internationally accredited education at an affordable cost.
The event concluded with a reaffirmation from both PIBT and the University of Greenwich to continue strengthening their collaboration for decades to come.
